*Windows Service Packs
Windows Service Packs are the way Microsoft updates Windows to keep it secure
and reliable. If you have Automatic Updates turned on, or keep your copy of
Windows up to date using Windows Update, you should have these already
installed.
However, if you have problems installing PostureMinder, this may be the cause.
Please visit Microsoft
Windows Update and check what updates your version of Windows needs.
Other issues to consider when installing PostureMinder:
Please note that PostureMinder is currently only available in English.
As with most software, you will need Administrator rights to install
PostureMinder
PostureMinder is built using Microsoft .NET technologies. It makes use of the
Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 and Windows Installer 3.1. If neither of these are
detected on your computer, the PostureMinder installer will attempt to install
them. Please accept installing these components and follow the on-screen instructions
If your webcam has advanced features such as face tracking or visual effects,
you will need to turn these off when using PostureMinder
You may also find that some webcams pop-up a control panel whenever PostureMinder accesses them,
which can be annoying. If this happens, normally there will be a setting in the webcam software to switch this behaviour off.
Otherwise, you may find that uninstalling the software that came with your webcam (but leaving the webcam drivers) prevents this happening.
Please refer to your webcam manufacturer's instructions to turn off this
behaviour in your webcam's settings.
PostureMinder has been tested with many USB webcams. However, you may encounter
problems or performance issues if your webcam is particularly old or cheap,
particularly in very low or very bright lighting conditions
If your webcam struggles to generate good quality images due to the lighting in
your environment, you may need to improve your lighting and/or adjust your
camera settings. Please refer to your webcam's manufacturer's
instructions on how to get the best out of your webcam
