Display Screen Equipment Training and Self-assessment
|
All UK computer workers are required, under the UK Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992*, to receive training and assessment of their working environment. Similar regulations apply across Europe, North America and Australia
PostureMinder's DSE training and self-assessment solution offers a simple, user-friendly, comprehensive package of training materials to help organisations meet their responsibilities.
It's been developed with flexibility in mind - the appearance and content of the solution can be tailored to your organisation. It also features significant automation - users' initial training and any refresher courses are automatically scheduled and users are reminded to complete them via automatic emails
Detailed management reports and full audit trail enable organisations to keep track of who's completed their training and any issues raised through the self-assessment questions. There are simple, easy-to-use facilities to record any steps taken to resolve issues, again adding to the audit trail
Deployment options
PostureMinder's DSE training and self-assessment solution can be hosted securely on our own servers for an annual fee, or purchased outright for installation on your organisations' own servers
Who's covered by the Regulations?
The guidance on the Regulations suggests that anyone for whom computer use is a regular part of their role is classed as a DSE user. As a rule of thumb, anyone who uses a computer for at least an hour most days is certainly a DSE user. However, given how cost-effective our DSE training is, it's better to err on the side of caution and train anyone who uses a computer at work
* "Miscellaneous Amendments" were made to the Regulations in 2005
